Elections 2006 | Where’s the Dude?

div

Anyone home?Looking for Kadima front man Ehud? Perhaps wondering where the heck he is with elections mere days away? Seems the UK Telegraph found him and serves up a bio, as well as some insight to his "I’m not here" election strategy ; )

Israel Elections 2006 | Dark Horse Government?

div

The elections have been boring to my shagrin, some mud slinging, some poll movement, but not much in the way of platforms or policy, everyone seems to be banking on Kadima (the media at least)..

Here’s one guy making some waves, the kind of waves that call for a right wing government not formed of Kadima, but put forward by a unified Likud led right wing. With 20% undecided, there are more than enough votes out there to make the wave a tsunami on election day. Personally, I’d take it over a Kadima / Labor coalition.

Labor mused this week about the Foreign Affairs portfolio, or the Defense portfolio if they got into the coalition.. That kind of crazy talk is more than enough to scare me off a Kadima vote, I’m pretty sure there are 20% out there who might be inclined to agree.. Flirting with Labor is not a great strategy to employ when a chunk of your support is made up from the Likud.

Israel Elections 2006 | IDF success nets Kadima 2 seat bump

div

Yediot has a fresh poll showing Kadima gaining a 2 seat bump (39) from the Jericho IDF operation this week. I skipped two other earlier polls by Haaretz that showed wacky results, sample size was about 600 people.. Too small.

Labour down 1 seat to 19, Likud at 15, Shas 11, National Union 8, Israel Home 10, Meretz 4.

Also, Ynet has their 2006 page up with a few articles and opinion pieces on the elections. Also included is a good summary on each of the parties. Pundits are calling this weekend’s poll numbers ‘crucial’.

Elections 2006 | Globes poll shows Kadima now seriously bleeding

div

Smaller parties picking up the slack, poll shows huge 20% undecided swing vote.

Globes has some interesting numbers, according to this sweep that’s another 2 seats. Which if it jives with other polls to be released would mean Kadima has been steadilly losing two seats a week, with over two weeks yet left in this election. The undecided numbers in this globes polls are also quite large..

Elections 2006 | Olmert: Abbas endorsement not very handy..

div

Abu MazenOlmert, not too pleased by having Abbas quoted as saying he endorses Kadima.

Likud & labor both react:
Likud: You see we told you so
Labor: Jilted Lovers..

It’s ok No can Du, you can endorse me! I’ll be sure to represent the Palestinian people as unfairly as possible, just like Yasser!!!
