I would gladly rant and rave about ‘the man’, go on and on about the global forces trying to deride all things Zio.. Unfortunately, my blogs down time totalling about 30+ hours this weekend was due to my hosts’ server mechanical failure and no global conspiracies can be claimed. A recent backup was restored and I’ve filled in most of the blanks, I think. This is a little bit crikey as my British friends might say since things were picking up late last week around here with some fresh visitors, but all is fair in blogs and war.

The Russians, Europeans and Javier Solana were right, I and many others were clearly mistaken.

From Ynet: Canada asked to detain former IDF head

Arabs, Jews representing left-wing organizations ask Canadian government to detain former Chief of Staff Yaalon upon his expected arrival in Toronto for suspicion of committing war crimes. Yaalon consults Israeli ambassador in Ottawa, decides make trip anyway

WASHINGTON - A group of left-wing organizations, mostly Arabs, some Jewish, called on the Canadian government to detain former Chief of Staff Moshe (Bugi) Yaalon who is planning to visit Toronto on Wednesday to appear in synagogue for a fundraising event for the benefit of wounded IDF soldiers.

The organizations claim that their request to ban Yaalon from entering Canada is based on the Canadian law which prohibits entrance of people suspected of war crimes and crimes against humanity. They asked authorities to detain Yaalon if he enters Canada.

I’m waiting for comment from the Canadian Govt, maybe our new Conservative leaders will take a stand on something, for the first time in Canada’s history.. But I’m not holding my breath.

I’m still reading about this cartoon Jihad. The rage against Denmark, the sorry state of affairs I’ve posted about previously.. This whole notion of leaving the Danes out in the wind like this and fuelling the fires of radical Islamists by burying our heads, it amazes me.

I like Israel news, I like it a lot. As such I scour as much of it as is humanely possible which takes me to places like Haaretz. Going into Haaretz for a spin is like going into Gaza armed with a water pistol, it’s an unsavory experience.
