IDF Smackdown?

There are over 70 terrorist alerts on the run-up to the election, as solid as the security forces are they are not infallible or supermen. Might we see an Israeli Armor supported clean up crew in the near future?

This article at Ynet looks at the possibility of an IDF Defensive Shield II after the big elections 2006 vote. Anyone who knows me is aware of the fact that I’m a big fan of sequels. It looks like electioneering in a big way, too bad that.

I’m not a proponent of the wait and see, or give terrorist entities some time "philosophy" so popular these days.

I’m instead a proponent of the "smash terrorists heads in approach".
To moi, Hamas is a very large and juicy green Terrorist Pinata just waiting for a good smack. The IDF has been doing a stellar job schooling the Islamic Jihad recently, I’m of the mind that it’s time to expand the circle of friends, and clean up the casbas.

Meanwhile Hamas is up to the same old tricks. Of course they won’t disarm, arrest or prevent terrorism, recognize Israel, or any agreements, the problem as we all know is really all Israel. Via the magic of the media (AP) this somehow becomes, wait for it now..
