The War for hearts and minds is ON, understanding the propaganda is critical to fighting it.
I thought I had seen it all until I saw this.. The propaganda war’s first volley has been fired..
Here’s the Hashmonean response, deconstructed word for word.
Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy of Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, tells Israeli-Palestinian radio station that ‘there’s no doubt there is realistic recognition on our part of Israel’; adds group’s problem is demand to recognize legitimacy of occupation.
If I may, I’m going to unload on this article before I have an aneurism..
I’m going to deconstruct this and illustrate point by point how crafty and utterly devious Hamas is, and how dangerous they really are. It may be a bit long, but hopefully worth the read if you enjoy the Art of War.
Hamas senior member Moussa Abu Marzouk said Monday that “there’s no doubt that there is a realistic recognition on our part of Israel, that Israel exists in the territory – and there’s no signing agreements with an imaginary body but with a body that exists.” (1)
First let’s deal with some facts. Islamists are bald faced liars, but let’s not get caught up in semantics. Hamas knows they have only one shot in hell, convince the sad saps who want to believe so badly.. They’ll believe anything, that Hamas is pragmatic and moderate. In this class of ‘I want to believe so bad’ I’d stick about every leftist on the planet, and about 3/4 of Eurabia. It’s really quite a large target market that is ripe for the Hamas Hyenas..
Like I was saying, Hamas knows if they can convince a chunk of Dhimmis that they are pragmatic, then half the battle is already won.
For the ‘want to believe dhimwits’, pragmatic for instance means:
‘I’m fighting for my people, and I only slaughter innocent Civilians because I have no helicopters with missiles, If I had helicopters with missiles I wouldn’t slaughter innocent people, it really has nothing to do with my bloodlust to slaughter Jews’.
It all sounds pretty absurd to me personally, but when you want it badly enough you’ll convince yourself of anything, and devoid of a reality beyond socialistic inspired laziness, laced with gobs of nihilism, this sort of crud actually becomes sound logic.
Art of War
Today, the war is waged with words as much as rounds, the Arabs are particularly skilled at appealing to Dhimmis with words, if not totally inept at waging war with rounds. Which may be why Hamas opts to usually forego rounds and uses Women strapped with explosives, but that is for another discussion.
We see some convoluted sentencing in the first part of the finely tuned and crafted statement, the goal is to sound pragmatic while being vague enough to later repeat things in Arabic and assign an entirely different meaning, this double speak is not only common, it is practically the Arab World constitution, but I digress, I’m not here to smack down Arabs, just Hamas.
Hamas Goal (1) – Sound pragmatic to dhimwhits in carefully crafted statement yet actually really say nothing at all.. Ding! Achieved.
(read the goal up here, and then the part footnoted 1 again, and you see it clearly)
“Israel exists and we all acknowledge these agreements. The problem is not that, it is the demands made on Hamas. (2)
Next in the carefully crafted Hamas art of war is victimization, the Arabs in general are obsessed with victimization, they think they are the new Jews, the only problem is unlike Jews it hasn’t been everyone else persecuting them forever, but their own damn leaders.
In any case, the best way to a weak kneed dhimmis heart is to play the victim role.. look at what he says:
Israel exists (no kidding, if it didn’t there wouldn’t be Israelis to kill) no big revelation from Hamas there. Next, we’re pragmatic, we realize Israel exists, it’s THE DEMANDS placed on poor Hamas (I’m a victim, booohooo) that is the problem.
Arab leaders, never ever take responsibility, it’s always pass the buck, someone else’s fault, America or Israel, doesn’t matter so long as the buck is passed.
Hamas goal 2 of winning the hearts of dhimmis by claiming victimhood and assigning blame? Ding! Achieved.
Our problem is that there is a demand to recognize the legitimacy of the occupation – and to that we won’t agree,” (3)
Abu Marzouk, a lieutenant of Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, told the Israeli-Palestinian radio station “All For Peace.”
This last sentence is the most critical in the Hamas art of war, and the most heavily crafted for consumption:
Our problem is the demand to recognize the legitimacy of the OCCUPATION – to that we won’t agree.
There’s a special buzzword in this short sentence, occupation.
To dhimwits everywhere the word represents all the injustices bestowed on the Palestinians, blah blah blah. The endless ‘victimization’ blah blah blah, the big bad Israeli Army blah blah blah, the inalienable rights of our people blah blah blah, I could go on forever, you know what I mean, it’s the word that causes dhimwitted people to go outside with placards calling Israel a Nazi state, and Bush Hitler blah blah blah. It’s the ‘piece de resistance!’
Very crafty, there’s only one problem. To Hamas the word means something entirely different. Occupation means Israel exists in Palestine, Israel no matter where it is so long as it exists near me.. is occupying Palestine.
We may declare a truce, but only because we’re losing and need to defer the matter for a few years because no matter what even if Israel vacates all the territories, they will still be OCCUPYING Palestinians rightful land. The mere existence of Israel is occupation. It exists now, it must be removed for the occupation to END.
Hamas goal (3) Use the word ‘occupation’ to mean two ENTIRELY different things; Ding! Achieved.
For the dhimmis, they get meaning A: Our victimization blah blah blah, ie. give us the West Bank & Jerusalem and problem solved blah blah blah..
Except for Hamas, the word occupation means nothing of the sort, it means the actual existence of Israel itself, which is occupying greater Palestine. Not in Ramallah, but in Tel Aviv, not in Jenin, but in Haifa!
I don’t make this up, let’s quote DIRECTLY from the Hamas charter:
“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”
“The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.”
“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”
Israel exists, Israel is occupying Palestine from shore to shore, not ‘just in the West Bank’, ONLY Jihad or Holy WAR is a solution, no conferences, no agreements, no truces..
Once again, back to the final statement, we cannot recognize the legitimacy of the ‘OCCUPATION‘
We cannot recognize Israel’s right to exist, only that it exists, we will never stop trying to destroy Israel – That is what Hamas said. Nothing more.
Hamas’ carefully crafted statement, meant to excite and generate hope in Dhimmis and Dhimwits everywhere by sounding pragmatic, and appealing to poor Hamas’ isolated victimhood..
While in actuality not deviating EVEN AN INCH from the purely radical Jihadist War of aggression to ultimately totally destroy Israel, and wipe it from the map.
This is only day one, and already the War is on full tilt, and already on day one the Dhimmis are eating it up!!! Please Abu Moussa, can we have more! pretty Please! Peace is at hand!!
3 sentences, perfectly crafted to absolutely confuse and entice anyone and everyone who simply doesn’t know better or doesn’t want to. The brains of Israel better get working over time, or Israel will lose this war, because it is clear to me that Hamas.. has come to play.
Now in the UN we’ll hear how victimized the ‘fund cut’ Palestinians are, and how pragmatic Hamas is to recognize Israel exists (without recognizing Israel’s RIGHT to exist), and the celebrations of Kofi, Europe & company will shortly ensue.
Of Note: The article credited only as ‘Ynet reporters’, takes the position of pure left tilted feed me more from start to finish.
